Beautiful is… the curve of a smile on a mother’s face as she watches her little child dance; the ecstatic smile of the woman in the arrivals hall when her man comes through the door; and the shared, amused smile on the faces of an old couple who do not need to talk.”
“Beauty happens. It’s a startling event one collides with suddenly, it is like truth. In the face of another, in the felicity of a phrase, in the dancer’s line, it occurs. And familiarity is never its enemy. It is not novel but profound. The same face, the same phrase can occur and occur and occur. The same beauty can stir in you forever.”
The sky to me is bautiful. Every hour of the day it’s different. It’s fluid, graceful, elegant. Any time you look at it, it’s restorative. And it doesn’t demand anything from you.
“So ultimately...Whatever you love is beautiful; love comes first, beauty follows. The greater your capacity for love, the more beauty you find in the world.
