My thoughts about birthdays...

hmmm. ...the 4th of november,a very special day...coz it's the day one Tami Ballesteros was born to make this world 1 person crazier & more gorgeous...:)

and a lot of thoughts are running in my mind.. and i decided to write them down and share them to you my dear readers...

for me, a birthday is not just a once a year celebration. it should be a celebration everytime we get the chance to open our eyes to a new day...however i dont suggest throwing a birthday party everyday.:)..a simple appreciation to the world and up above is enough.

a birthday to me is also having a new paradigm in life .Having new thoughts , principles and values that makes you a better person is also being reborn spiritually, hence, I call it a birthday...

To me a birthday doesn't mean to be old. One can be young forever if they choose to.
age is just a number. I will celebrate my youth and the child in me for the rest of my life.

Birthdays is a chance for us to reflect on what's been going on with our lives...
a chance to ask have we fucked it so much? a chance to get to know our strengths and weaknesses, most especially, our improvement areas.As long as we are living, there is always a room for improvement.

Emotions mixed up everytime, my birthday is coming up...maybe because...i reminisce on the people, places and experiences that has come and gone... It draws me up to smile and at the same time shed a tear or two.

Birthdays to me is to realize that in this meaningful life, we are given so many chances and privileges to be loved and love, share our blessings and be better each passing moment.

I would have wanted to write a long list of material things I would love to get this coming birthday of mine, but i chose not,I believe I'd rather give than receive for a change.

And maybe this simple gift of me having to be able to share the wisdom I gained , is also a gift I know that would come back one way or another.

And I take this chance to thank YOU all who supported and believed in me.

My SIMPLY GORGEOUS Art & Photography

I am an artist . I breathe ART...
There is a misconception that a photographer is automatically an artist.
NOPE. It's not true...photography is a medium just like a canvass to a painter and fabric to a fashion designer...Not all who photographs are artists and not all artists are photographers...

In my case I am both. I am an artist,and photography is my medium to express my art..hence I'm a photographer as well..combined with my knowledge in ART softwares I am a digital artist too...I also express art through my words, that is why YOU have a blog that YOU are reading now that tickles your imagination...:)

Here are a few of my works I did last JULY 2011 that I want to share to YOU all my dear readers.My model is Chantelle Jacobs, You'd be surprised to know that she is not a she, in fact she is a HE.He is a dead ringer for Naomi Campbell ain't she?he?haha.
I am also a model aside fromm being a visual artist&actor that's why I know alot about camera posing & projection too...:P

I did the styling for this to make him look like a top supermodel..:).Since fashion styling is also my medium of ART.

I have an upcoming OPEN PHOTOSHOOT called BGLAM PROJECT XIII "SIMPLY GORGEOUS" this coming AUGUST 20, 2011 @ THE room STUDIO , QC

Yesterday i was in the streets of Quiapo, its located at the heart of Manila, It was not really a posh place but the busyness coupled with the mystery of the place allures me.

My trip started at the Quiapo Church ,a lot of Filipinos are catholic and believes in saints, so don't be surprised if people wipes heir handkerchiefs on the saint's statues..I do that myself. :). I also bought charms supposedly to give me protection from people who wish to do harm to me...
Then I had my fortune told by a fortune teller sitting in front of the church, she told me things I wanna hear, that's why I believed her..if she had told me otherwise , I'd think she's a fake..haha
I bought cheap street food like isaw, dugo and adidas, to those who don't know what they are, it's chicken intestines, clotted blood of pork, and chicken head all in a stick and then barbecued to perfection. hahah. some people may find it gross, but to those who are adventurous, it is a culinary experience!
You could but lot's of cheap stuff here.. like dvds, sunglasses (i got a cool shades for 45 pesos its 1$ in US), cheap pets in Aranque market. I also ate noodles they call Mami..just like what you get in HongKong but cheaper..comes in beef and chicken....and something about the dirtiness of the preparation makes it more adventurous to eat..hahhahaha!

Oh I also like the cubic hopia sold at baker's best... mura na masarap pa, I ate the ube hopia..ube is a sweet root crop i think it's called purple yam in english...

Quiapo is also very interesting at night, there are lots of clubs there to get girls (and boys)..if you get what I mean ; )

that's all for now my friends...I'd go back there very soon and tell you more..who wants to join my adventure?...
